At first sight, it looks similar to Carcasonne, but it has some unique mechanics that set it aside. The main two mechanics that work really well are 1) a bidding system for tiles whereby each player sets prices for the tiles they are dealt and 2) random victory conditions for each match. The bidding system determines which tiles you get to play on your turn or how much gold you have for future turns. The random victory conditions are determined by having 4 random scoring conditions selected at the start of the game, chosen from a selection of 16. Also different to Carcassonne is that each player makes their own individual land as opposed to everyone contributing to one big kingdom. The game for the best part, plays well, looks good and has a good level of strategy mixed with some randomness. The reason I'm down-voting is a number of "minor" bugs that don't look like the devs will fix. When playing in async, the game doesn't show the final round, so you don't get to see how you won\/lost!! For me, this is unforgivable. After playing for a number of days of async, why wouldn't you want to know what your opponents did on their last turn? You get to see the score, but not how we got there. The game occasionally doesn't allow you to take your turn which has a negative effect on your rank as you end up losing the match. A lesser bug is sometimes the game gets stuck when you're placing tiles. It seems to be when you've rotated them a few times. This can be worked around by exiting the game and going back to it, so more an annoyance than game-breaking.Another annoyance is the way that the game decides to zoom itself in during the replay, which means having to zoom out over-and-over again if you don't prefer this view.I could almost forgive these flaws if the devs cared to respond or give a glimpse that they may try and fix them at some point but the game seems abandoned by the devs as they have most likely moved onto other projects. It's for this reason I have to down-vote what would otherwise be a fantastic game.
